We build websites to drive business growth using two core platforms: Silverstripe and WordPress. We believe a website should do the following...
We use the highly recommended Silverstripe content management system (CMS) for our larger websites. Silverstripe is a Kiwi based, open source system that is also used by the NZ Government. We also use WordPress combined with the Oxygen Builder for smaller sites to give you the ability to easily edit your own site. WordPress is the most popular content management system on the planet.
An open source system gives you the freedom to easily transfer your website to any provider. Any experienced website developer can modify and enhance your website independent of whoever created your website. Some other agencies use their own CMS, ultimately trapping you into sticking with them long term as the cost of moving on would be too high.
As part of the website development process we will need to provide training for you to be sure you get the most out of your site. Training can be provided at your office (if you are based around Queenstown). For our customers in Christchurch, Invercargill, Dunedin, and further afield, via screen sharing or on the phone. Training is typically a painless 2 hour session. During our relationship, you can also talk to us at any stage for ongoing support.
We prefer to host websites we build so that we have control over the server environment. We charge a yearly fee that is comparable to NZ hosting service providers. That said, you can host a site we build in your own hosting... we just can't guarantee that it will always work.
